Automobiles in German City Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Officers reported they were alerted by a individual who discovered a car in Hanau smeared with red-colored liquid

Approximately 50 vehicles have been marked with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Automobiles, building surfaces and postboxes were defaced, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a statement.

Officers report they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a resident discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored liquid.

The fluid had been drawn in the pattern of a banned symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then found many other vandalized automobiles and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Swastikas are banned in Germany under laws prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Police report early analysis indicate the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no clue as to its source; investigators are not yet informed of any injuries in association with the event," they stated.

Local authorities announced they were trying "to solve the mystery" and have asked to the public for tips.

An important official said the vandalism made him without words and had to be addressed rapidly.

"This incident affects the center of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the extremist violent incident half a decade ago," he posted on social media, referring to the death of nine victims by a assailant focusing on people of migrant background in February 2020.
